Hi,
When I try starting UrT, the demo plays with sound, but then hangs at the main screen playing "chop-chop-chop.....", and I cannot move the mouse.
Quake3 works perfectly, and disabling sound also makes UrT work. Anyone got an idea.
I'm using x86-64 linux 2.6 (currently 2.6.12-rc1-mm3), but I have seen this on several 2.6 kernels. I use Alsa sound, and have used: 'echo "quake3.x86 0 0 direct" > /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/oss' in order to get sound working in quake3.
Im using Debian Unstable (AMD64), with ia32 libraries.
Hope someone can help - This is really annoying.

Yes, I just re-read your faq, and verified that point-release 1.32b is indeed installed. I used the faq (and other resources indexed by google) when installing quake3, and then UrT.
However, I still cannot find that cause of the main screen hang / sound problem, but thanks for your input.
