I posted this yesterday but it was tacked onto the end of an old thread. Hope it's ok that I did it as a new topic here.

I am a long time UrT player since back in 2.0/2.1 days (I still mostly suck :-/) but this is my first time posting here.

PROBLEM:
When I try to start the launcher I get a dialog immediately that says:

"Info from the API are not valid. Please contact a Frozen Sand admin on www.urbanterror.info or try again later."

I'm running UrT 4.2.23(?) on Windows 10. Been running UrT without issue on this PC for 3 years and the launcher worked fine pretty much every day until about 3 days ago.. No recent driver or hardware or firewall changes that I have done.

Some services were down yesterday/during the weekend. that might just be it.

Also, if there is no update, you dont need to run the launcher.
The current version is 4.2.023, and the next version will be 4.3.0, which will come with a new launcher anyways.

Thus: just start the Quake3-Urt.exe directly :)

Thank you, Iye! It worked. I did not know the launcher was not needed, that is great to know. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to reply and help me out.
