Well, hello hello.
I have a few questions concerning Resurgence. I enjoin everybody to tell me what you think about it.
1. Will it be possible to bind weapons and stuff directly in game options because I find the autoexec thing not very user friendly.
2. Concerning game types, will Capture and Hold return ? I know it is not very popular but I remember having a lot of fun with this mode and a few friends. What do you think is missing for this mode ? Is it even adpated to the fast paced game that is Urban Terror ?
3. Then I wanted to talk about the competitive mode. What form do you think it will take ? Will it be a single game of a gamemode available or maybe more like a BO3 ? To the devs, are you planning on adding a gamemode specific to Urban Terror ? Will it be possible to choose the map or will it be randomly selected ?

Some good questions but a bit early to offer a direct yes or no answer as to be honest there is a lot more important foundation building still required to even begin looking at feature requests.
The big deal thing though is UrT/idtech3 will always be a mod of the game Quake3 where Resurgence is a port as a true stand alone version that does not suffer from licensing compatibility issues.
Since UE4 is compatible with almost any licensing requirements, MIT and CC0 to mention just two, a item like number two as to a game mod can be created by 3rd party and licensed to FS under Epic's fair use or as creative commons and in the process mainline creator rights to sell their works over at Epic's marketplace.
In general 3rd party participation has been the driving force as to why Urban Terror has been dying since 1999 so the answer is becoming more of a case of what would you would be willing to do as to the features you would like? ;)
