Well, that's interesting. I wonder what changed in 4.1. I remember testing with them in 4.0 and I don't remember any crashes.

Well, Bots in anything Q3 related were the most stupid bots anyways. In other Games Bots were a lot better, and there are very little games where you can actually play "good" with Bots together.

Its like from Level 1 - 5 but basically it means like:

Bot - Level 1 - completely confused , doesn´t hit crap
Bot - Level 2 - slightly less confused, maybe hits sometimes 
Bot - Level 3 - still confused, hits a bit more 
Bot - Level 4 - same confusion, hits a lot
Bot - Level 5 - still nuts, hits you as soon as it sees you, no matter how far you´re away 

bots are crap, but
not moving/shoting one would be useful for tests
pls add    (its not so easy to find well placed afker)

I miss bothell.  Bot's effing spank turned up to nightmare, bothell was great when you were sick of people, it's too bad about them but I"m pretty sure they won't make a comeback, I already tried begging.

almost no crashes with vbo_test4 here... no newer vbo's tested though.

If I could un-break them, I would do it.  I actually probably could do it, but I can't get to it, which is probably why they're not un-broken already! ... and I'm nub, and no time+nub = no worky.

Hm, I don't know if this will help, but it's not the bot that make the server crash. It's when you set /bot_enable 1.

A friend of mine and I tried to launch a non dedicated server, he joined it by Hamachi, and the /bot_enable was set to 1. When I first shot at him, the server crashed and it happened again & again until I changed the variable.

Yeah, it's the bot code, not the actual bots I supose.

hello.

I have tried to follow the instrustions as well as i could but i am very noobish and i am afraid most of this is lost to me.
I started the game and clicked "start server".
I didnt change any settings and the small blue box of writing came up.
I followed Colonel Blimp's instructions and tried to create a bot.
My problem occours when I want to go back into the game with that bot.
I thought that typing reload would help with that but it didnt.

Later, I started the game again.
I clicked "start server" and i changed the 1st setting (dedicated) to no.
This only brought me to the game menu with no bots or players.
After many attempts i realised that I was not going to find a way to get to the consol menu from there.. on my own at least.

I proberly missed something out but I hope that someone can help a noob in need soon.

Set dedicated to no and once in-game, open the console (shift + escape).
