Being as I played since 2.0 I have never had a problem with any release you guys have made. Given I stand up for urt to any nay sayer. I understand the game is free, time is valuable, people have lives. I do however have one objection.

The new player models.

What was wrong with our older, much better, player models? Some of these new models I can barely see far away. The swat team doesn't even look like a real swat team. I really proffered having my wide selection of models. Plus they looked bad ass, and nothing beats something that looks bad ass.

So my suggestion for 4.1, and to shut me up, is to bring back those old models.

Thanks!

Are you also talking about the white skins (when you said you can't see them)? Because they're changing that, they said, in the next patch.

That is one of the big issues. The blue skins are also hard to see on some maps from a far.

But I just liked the look of the older skins. More of that urban, dark feel to them. Camo pants and a tee, maybe a bandanna-- let's go kill some people in the middle of a city, type feel. Super bad ass.

Maybe it is the traditionalist in me, but they looked way more bad ass.

I guess these models are better in detail, maybe can withhold higher res skins or what not. But cant we make them better looking? More like what a swat member really looks like?

And maybe terrorist, or what ever Red Dragon is portrayed to be, that don't look like someone straight from GITMO?

it'd work on that village pk3 that goes around. the ground is almost exactly the same color with the white skin.

nizmo;

After sorting through spelling mistakes I finally got what you were trying to say.

And...

No. Show me a picture of a Swat member dressed like they are in urt. Show me a picture of some "Terrorist" that wear orange jumps suits (besides gitmo).

They can be light grey models for all I care, but this is a "Reality meets Quake" game, and the skins are just not that real.

Glowing colors as skins? That is the dumbest thing anyone has ever said. That would ruin an already good game. I am not asking for drastic changes to be made, just better quality changes.

The "Quake" part of "Reality meets Quake" is a fun game, and fun games tend to be fair games. If you have one side with dark colors, how can you differentiate it from the other team? The other team gets light colors? Screwed! Both teams get dark colors? TKs galore.

Orange and blue are relatively fair on most maps, though some maps have an orange-brown color for dirt (Riyadh, Prague) that allows Orange to blend in better. On other maps, blue blends into walls better. There will always be trade-offs. But black would simply dominate.

Will the nevgev be removed in 4.1?

I think the improved Nevgev offers too much of an attritional advantage to attacking players now that the stamina penalty has been reduced.

Possibly true. It used to be a defensive weapon, now its rush and spam.
