Create server crashes, online join fine

Anyone had any experience with this ? 

Tried deleting the .cfg's and reinstalling iourbanterror but still whenever I create a server (on two machines now) it goes to like 4, 10fps and sometimes has funny colors but no mouse etc

If i go through play online and join someone elses its fine.

takes forever to kill it even with kill process

If you are in the main menu, press shift + escape to open console and type /version <enter>, what does it return (the date)?

What OS are you using? How exactly are you starting the server?
