Ok I know this is to stop some arcane exploit.
BUT you are messing up every clan who rocks a tag.

Isn't there a work around where we can use a specific character like a | or a * or a _ that displays as a blank?
You may be able to do it just by replacing the font char.

Seriously it's messed up 99% of clan tags and no I'm not calling the waaambulance... this is quite bizarre.

Actually it was the ~ SG had a problem with, and it was the conspiracy theorys that made everyone chuckle. 

I get the concern over the spaces and ~, Ill see what I can do for 4.2

Seeing the difference between 4 or 5 spaces is pretty hard tbh. So even when using the playerlist and clientnum, it'd be hard to see who is who.
