I get this sometimes when the server switches maps.
iBook G4, ioUrT 4.1.

This really sucks as I have to spend 1 min waiting for the map to load up, then it quits back to the main menu with the error, and then i /reconnect having to spend another minute just to get back into the game.

Any help would be nice.

I've had this happen a few times as well. I've always meant to screenie it and post it here but always forgot to.

This is an old old thing that's happened to me countless times.

it's when a command that is reliable cycles out.

rofl fate

sounds like important communication between server and client gets lost. Could be server or client not being able to handle the 'stress' during map-changes or due to other network trouble I guess.

it's not a matter of whether a command that is reliable is being cycled out, that's definite, but what the comment means by it XD

Hmm.
So maybe playing around with the net setting could fix it?
My internet connection is fine, 2mbit (though I never go above 130kb/s), and my ping normally never goes above 150.

It's UDP traffic anyway right?  A totally connectionless protocol that is inherently unreliable, stands to reason you'd get this once in a while just chance no?

Yes. If the vote-details are only sent to the client one time, like I suspect, then it might even happen pretty frequently to clients/servers with lossy connections.

Edit: confused with the vote thread, but I guess the same logic applies.
