i still have the problem...

I'm not sure you understood what I said; the lag meter is a meter to see if everything is fine with a connection, not a fix.

Obviously what you need is a complete overhaul of your printer drivers.

Did i miss something cause I don't get what was so funny about this comment other than someone saying it was funny?

If it does fix a problem it's bonus funny.

Have you seen HP's drivers lately? A whole operating system.

I could confirm this strafe problem.
It comes out when your connection is not the best to the server you playing on. The strafe movement is a bit laggy. Another info to it that if I press the strafe button and hold it down, the strafe movement is erratic for a second or one and a half second, then it gets a bit smoother so my first idea was that it could be related to the key-repeating feature of the keyboard. This laggy bevavior more strong when you strafe while crouching.
On the other hand I have about ping 40-50 and the forward backward movement is quite good and smooth.
system: iourt, urt4.1, linux, cable net

do you need other information or data to examine this problem more deeply?

I have the same issue. When I start to strafe, there is a delay or stuttering in the movement for 1 - 1 1/2 seconds. The strafe movement is slow and less stuttery after, but still not right. It's hard to play like this.

It's not ALWAYS there. It's there when my ping is bounces between 89-150ms. it's a very quick bouncing. When the ping is more stable I don't think it's there.

I know this is an old topic, but the problem still exists.

Any solutions yet?
