I've got a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 USB and it's the best mouse I've ever had.

One cool thing about the MX 700 is it has a bunch of buttons that you can remap to any keystroke

I remapped mine to F1 , f2 , f3 etc

Then I bound keys i need in the game like Open door, and ut_itemdrop vest , and a few radio commands

so i have the keys I feel are critical right on the mouse itself !!!

I have a Logitech MX700 but went back to my Logitech Wheel Mouse. IMHO wireless still does not have the response and accuracy of a good wired mouse.

razer boomslang (2000 dpi model) was the most smooth and accurate mouse i've ever used - the control and fine-nudge aiming was absolutely brilliant and really made a difference... but it only has 3 buttons.

now i use a microsoft intellimouse optical and it has 5 buttons. it's acceptably accurate, and the extra buttons make the tradeoff worth it.

i've also played with, but not owned, a razer viper and found it to be every bit as good as the razer boomslang when i got used to it. it only has 3 buttons, too though.

I really like my MX900. It's a bit more, but it really kicks ass.

Logitech MX510 is the best for gaming when it comes to first person shooters. Has a new optical engine that the MX300, MX500, MX700, and MX900 all do NOT have.

Image Processing: 5.8 megapixels/second
Resolution: 800 dpi
Acceleration: 15g
Speed: 40 inches/second

This is probably one of the best, if not the best for first person shooting games. The Razer Viper, I heard, is also a good choice.

I tested MX700 wireless but it is a little bit heavy for me and inertia is too important.
Furthermore wireless seems to be less reactive (radio perturbations? differnt drivers?)

Now I use a MX310 with modified shape, and I feel it perfect.
