Just a silly little idea I had for an interactive main menu that would showcase a players achievements, stats, etc.

Hm...
I'd rather go for a much cleaner flat UI without any sort of 3D space, unless you are previewing something in the game that is 3D like a weapon or a player model or a map, and I would love to see one of the FS artists come up with some type of consistent design outlines and constraints which describe the overall aesthetic of all of the 2D artwork, including UI.

I was thinking it would have the standard menu UI overlay on it but the desk would act as a sort of interactive backround

Concept wise FS has had a few beer and pizza chit chat about the idea of having something similar to this idea but revolving around the idea of community or clan based club houses.
Instead of the normal entry screen as say to selecting what side your on, blue or red, a player would enter the server via the club house that would have different rooms one being a trophy room for example.

Warframe is a good example of a interactive menu. while you can navigate your character around your ship there to access all features of the game, you can also do it the "old fashioned" (and way faster) way via a menu.
But while all of this would be totally amazing and stuff, i do agree with Kronik. i would rather like to have a clean, consistent 2d menu.
Maybe something like payday 2, where you can visit your safehouse. that would also fit into UrT lorewise...
