besides what was already said ive got no other commands that give my mac more fps. btw what is that command actually r_smp?

Cookies had a very nice post on the FN forums where he removed literally everything to improve his FPS ( back when he has a old system that is ) else you can talk to him too :)

r_smp enables both your cores. Urt uses about 40 percent cpu usage normallyy. With r_smp 1 it uses both cores which makes urt run at like 80-90 % cpu usage... so you can only think how much it helps
only error is sometimes you load the map and its all white, just /vid_restart and you're fine. ( for mac at least )!

r_ext_compiled_vertex_array f'd up my fps from a solid 126 to 76 or lower. i'd recommend leaving it at 1. (but that's just me) And r_texturemode also lowered my fps, so i left mine at default.

In windows , the performance decreases with dual core systems unless you set UrT to run on a single core . I believe it should be the same with the mac  :-)

yea that's best left at 1 for improving FPS, same goes for r_ext_multitexture. I forget the sources of this info; but I recall putting it to the test when I first found UrT and had a shiittty PC. I tested every possible cvar (one by one, ugh) for FPS gain/loss and having both 'r_ext_multitexture' and 'r_ext_compiled_vertex_array' set to "1" gained FPS for me.
