delay decay of dropped weapons Rate Topic: -----

Hi, I was wondering, is it possible to make dropped weapons stay, or at least prolong the delay before they disappear? I searched for this on the forum but got no hits.

would that be keyed in with the g_removebodytime?

I searched the manal and the config file, for stuff like "weapon" or "drop" and now again for "time", but got nothing.
Thing is, I understand it's a good thing that dropped items and bodies decay after a while in DM type games, but I'm mostly playing team survivor mode. In that mode bodies stay on the ground until the end of the round but weapons/items do not.
I tried g_removebodytime, set it to 1 and 5000, and I noticed no difference.

Perhaps i'm looking for the wrong keywords or there is no such feature.

I dont think there is an option for this. Bodyremovetime can be set, but the weapondissapear-time not, I think.

Thanks for your replies, guys.
Perhaps this setting will be included sometime in the future.

Enjoy your games :)

If anything it would be a server side setting, but if you really think about it, why would you want to keep weapons lying around forever. Kinda takes away from the flow of the game.

Not forever, only for the survivorround for example.

Actually for TS that could be interesting if the weapons were to hang around for the duration of the round. I've never seen a cvar that would set this though.
