Has there been a fix for the constant scrolling of
error weapon number out of range when the server is running only bots??


it is really annoying and it lags the console

Think it is due to the "abandoned" botcode, the bots try to switch to weapon that does not exist (ie flashnades)

is there a way to phase it out...does it cause problems?? I am running 2.6A on my server. Is there a patch?

I dont think the bot penguin cause any trouble (only carry up date weapons) or try around till u get the right bot

addbot [botname] [skill 1-4] [team] [msec delay] [altname]

[botname] - This is the name of the underlying bot from which Quake will pull behavior characteristics
[skill 1-4] - Skill level of the bot
[team] - If you will be playing a team DM or CTF game, enter 'Red' or 'Blue' to specify to which team the bot will belong
[msec delay] - This simulates milliseconds of ping experienced by the bot
[altname] - You can assign a new name for the bot. Instead of always fragging Crash, you can use the Crash bot and rename her Gretchen. Remember that you can't have any spaces in the name.

So insert this in ure server.cfg (after a little bit of editing of course)

set bot_minplayers "0"
addbot Penguin 5 Blue 75 ApplePie
addbot Penguin 5 Blue 80 Prince_Valiant
addbot Penguin 5 Red 75 KennyPumpa_=)
addbot Penguin 5 Red 80 Clan_|it|_Rox

If this dont helps, then I have no clue =)

that helps...but when you do that how do you make the bots leave to balance out the teams. I turned the minpllayer on but it adds two and kicks my named bots??

I think you can somewhere change what weapons a bot will have. If you only put up-to-date weapons there, it would be fine maybe.

I just dont remember where you can set it =] Somewhere in an Urt-file hhehehe.
