The full cvar for multiproc enabling is r_smp "1"
The mac specific cvar s_chunksize is normally set to "4096" for framerate increase but often that value make the sound getting notably delayed so I have it at "2048" (note the 2x factor for the values on this cvar)
Also mac specific in_mouseHighEndCutoff "0" and in_mouseLowEndSlope "1" have default values (I don't remember them) that make mouse reponse positively disgusting for me.
