Hi,
I can't download a new map if i try it says : couldn't load maps/ut4_.....
I use windows 7 and i re-installed urt multiple times.
I dont know much about fixing things like that so please keep it simple.
Please help me out.

sometimes you cant download a map cause it is not at the dlUrl.

a mapmaker or ppl put random maps to their server to play them "alone" or to test it.

so there is no chance to download it.

No i know what you are saying but that is it definitly not.
Every map i want to download on every server fails.
But thx for youre quick post.

Which map are you trying to download?

And from which server?

Windows 7 can block changes to C:\program files. It should work if you install to a different location (not in program files).

Urban tertror is not downloaded in program files because i had an other issue before.
And it doesn't matter what map or what server it just says : could not load maps/ut4_...

That reminds of something.

Don't put the maps in maps/ directory but directly where the zpak.. pk3s are and in pk3 form.

What the above said is true , it's worked for me. Maybe you've done the same mistake.

No it wont work i deleted the whole map but it wont work.

did you disable Autodownload in Settings?
Look it up and reenable it.
Or look up the Server's sv_dlurl manually and go to http://<server's dlurl>/q3ut4/<mapname>.pk3
you should then download the Map to your Maps location.
