i have downloaded urban terror for mac like 50 times. i dont get what they mean by make a shortcut. ioUrbanTerror.app doesnt work

I HATE THIS!! ive been looking for a solution for days already and i dont want to get the Quake 3 thing.
PLZ HELP ME!!! :-(

I deleted what I actually downloaded from the site a long time ago, so I don't know what exactly you get from the download itself.

Anyways, what exactly do you do once you have the download? I don't recall UrT being difficult to install, but I assume you have copied it to your Applications folder? Are you sure you are trying to open the actual .app and not some other file?

heres the way i installed it:

right click the ioUrbanTerror.app, go to show package contents, then open "contents" then "macos" drag the "q3ut4" that was included in the download there. close all windows double click ioUrT to play the game. enjoy.

this method lets you only have the ioUrT icon only to open the game instead of needing a folder with the ioUrt and q3ut4 folders side by side.

Drag the q3ut4 in MacOS in contents, right?
I did that but it still does not even start...

What are u guys talking about?!?!? I've been away from urt for 3 years and downloaded again a few weeks ago. It took me a couple of minutes to download and 1-2 minutes to install/fix the most important cfg's - The installation procedure on a mac has never been better..

* Download
* Unzip the zipfile
* Put the folder in application (or where ever you want it)
* Make an alias of ioUrbanTerror.app and put the alias on your desktop
* Doubleclick the alias and you´re good to go!
