I played like 4 hours with both clients, yours and the original, and I guarantee you there is a difference, especially on delayed hits. Very good players I know (one in team France btw) experience the same issue. It's something that wasn't present in older releases.

Make sure the features you don't want are disabled with their vars.

If you're trying a pre-SDL client, the differences are huge and systemic.

What do you mean by 'pre-SDL clients' ?

The original build is a pre-SDL client.

I'm also noticing a weird issue lately:

There seems to be some kind of jerkiness/stuttering issue with movement in the game. I checked and it isn't present in the normal .exe.

When running/jumping forward etc. the motion isn't smooth... there seems to be some kind of warping/stuttering going on... as if my hard drive is thrashing or something (my framerate is stable at 120 though).

This issue is present when testing on a map without other players.

Any ideas?

I see the exact same stuttering when testing a map without players with the UrtHD alpha. Maybe it is the same issue of the SDL clients?

That probably means it's bumpy (HD is largely bumpy enhanced).

Try the 'vanilla renderer downloads' below the main ones.

Also, anyone that experiences severe differences, attempt to see if it fixes with sysMicrogranularity 0. Some hardware clocks are buggy with it.

Tried the alpha: issue seems present but less noticeable.

Tried vanilla: framerate hit isn't worth it.

oh well, it's minor.

And mitsu, is there a way to totally disable everything translation related? I have /translateAuto 0, but it still says 'translation initialized' in console on start-up. I want to make sure no resources are being used for that feature.

cl_translation 0 if I recall correctly, there's a list of vars in the description text.
