A pk3 to fix a jump map

Basically this is a 1.4mb (at present) pk3 containing the textures needed for skulljumps, legendaryjumps1_5demo, slickjumps and parkour, to run without freakjumps, superman_b4, trickmap, sliema, etc. installed.

If you know of any other maps where the author has relied on game resources from other maps, as opposed to copying the resources to his own textures folder, then please post them, and i'll try and update the pak as and when its needed.

Awesome! Thanks dude. I've been wanting to delete freakjumps and trickmap for a loooong time now. I only jump very hard to medium maps. I wasn't worried about skulljumps, since I don't have it anyways (anymore). I did grab it though just to test that other pak. :laugh:

Great Voodoo. With this you really do the jump community a big favour.
Suggestion: put suffix behind the file name, like v 1/2/3....
And rename to: various_jump_textures_vXX.pk3
(if you or someone else make same kind of file for fragmaps, thats ok too)

Ok, here some maps!
Parkour_gamma: many, many places. If you wanna know ALL missingtext. places there, I suggest you PM X-RaY. He is really into this map -)
Gothicjumps: those lights are often missing
JumpTheShark(6.1): In that TV-room, at jump 7, i have missing lights sometimes, and others too. Once that whole room was missing textures (but maybe i had accidentaly dl other old version, so many serevrs have old versions...)
Bounce (beta4): O o o that is famous! After swim labyrinth, all those wall-platforms and so have missing textures
If I remember correctly: Sick jumps (beta). But im not sure... And this map is almost wholy included in synbio, synV2bio. So, dont spend to much time on that map.

EDIT:
mmmmm, I think Apath0 will update Shark, one time. So no need to do that map. Other maps are old and not being updated anymore, i guess...

If you have the map ut4_creazyjumpl33t_a3 in your folder, it breaks half those textures for slickjumpsv3. In fact, if you have ut4_creazyjumpl33t_a3, and you don't have ut4_sk8jumps_D05 in your folder, then ut4_creazyjumpl33t_a3 is missing textures. And if you DO have that ut4_trickyjumps_b2 map in your folder, then ut4_skipjumps_b2 is missing textures. Grrrrrr these noob mappers.

Creazy Jump l33t (a3), made by W@rr!or. Its the latest version, and Warrior is pretty active. Guess he and sk8ordie, both from the CON clan, should take a look at this beta map. But warrios beta's have often little problems, imo

Skipjumps_b2 is just released. I didnt play it because of those missing textures.
And read the topic about Skipjumps, and especially Rambetters test -)
So, Linessa will fix it i guess...

Skipjumps doesnt work for me full stop, so i cant check it. Besides it new enough that Linessa can fix it.

Frankly this shouldnt be happening in new maps. Its cause is sloppiness. If you use a resource that isnt in the game assets then include it with your map.

As requested v2 is now available. New inclusions: Parkour Gamma.

wait, what?

does the server need this pk3 too or only client.
anyway, missing textures dont bother me too much in jump maps anyway, but gl in your mission!

(...lol if you can fix the bounce_b4 one... that would be awesome cos i've never seen that beginning bit properly textured... i think it may have been an asset from q3?)

Only client needs it. The server doesnt have to render anything.
