that setup looks like mine, and I rin UrT 100% fine
Are your running any other programs?
also could be a client issue
I have my fps capped at 100, so it creaps up to 102 and is DEAD constant!
The higher your fps the more your downloading from the server at once

and it creates fps lag right?
and on topic:
have you tried capping your fps limit?

Hello,
I post here because I have a similar config and the same problem:
Intel dual core e4300 - radeon 4870 - Windows Vista.
When I run a UrT server on my computer, I have 125 fps constantly.
When I play on any server, I feel big fps drops.
When i cap my fps to 60, it is even worst.
It seems that putting rate 3000 instead of 25000 helps a lot. Same for cl_maxpackets: 30 is better for me.
I have set affinity to 1 core, my drivers are updated, my antivirus is disabled, computer is updated ...
I have tried other online game and dont have any problem: etqw / l4d / warsow are working perfectly fine.
Vista is not an issue and i won't change it -> it was working fine until a few weeks ago.
Any ideas ?
