ut4_hudson is a medium sized map. The basic idea is a small neighborhood, with six buildings with rooftop access.
Light is done by fl00d.
Current version is ut4_hudson_4
Thanks

either that or a gross use of _minlight/_ambient

Do a web search for sky scripts and textures. Start simple then work into a sky script. You'll love it
http://forums.urbant...g%20a%20ladder.

They are a challenge to make work well but the rewards are worth it.
It will instantly give your map shadow, light, the stuff that make Urban Terror look great.

Much of the time I spend mapping atm is making adjustments to the script so the lighting works in a pleasing way.

Another thing you could try is to make flat colour textures, like lego colours and make a shadowless lego world.

Guys, I am sorry, but I didn't include the sky box and its script, and that is the reason why the map sucks.
As you can see on the screen shots, the lightning is good (I made the script)

Here it is

sorry but i dont see any real lighting in screenshots of your map... it all looks like the same level. there is no sun or shadows or lamps or anything that i can see that mappers would call lighting. did you read the tutorials?

Maybe you should dwnld the map and try it, since the screen shots dont show a lot.

You are probably right, but thats how it is. The skybox shader sux. I gotta make a new 1.

q3map_sun 1.0 0.93 0.9 120 190 15

You need to reduce the min_light value which is what btw?

Also add the script to your shaderlist, those values should give some shadow.

Ill edit this post tonight with a .pk3 and .map package to look over.

I like the map itself, but the light is so unnatural, maybe you miscalculated the rgb feature.
If you want, send me the map, and I will see what I can do.
Bye
