I've been playing 4.1 for a couple of years and still really enjoy the game. The mix of combat but with the "Hollywood Realism" of Urt really works for me but I'm an old Quake Arena player.

Recently I've been playing alot of CTF on Wily Duck's Superman map which is fantastic. It occured to me that if smoke grenades behaved like HE grenades and went off after a few seconds of pulling the pin, as opposed to when thrown, then you would be able to leave jet trails around the map. If people didn't wan't to change the way smoke grenades behave it could possibly be done as a secondary fire option?

I don't know anything about game development but to me this seems like a small modification that could lead to a great deal of fun. Smoke trails on jump maps, formation flying :).

Apologies if this has been suggested before. I did a forum search and it didn't bring up anything similar.
