[Suggestion] More Realism With More Things Rate Topic: ****- 3 Votes

Better real things.

I'll say some suggestions for 4.2 (improve realism)

1: Reloading

You can't run, sprint or jump when reloading;

If you recieve fall or drown damage, reloading is canceled;

you can't move and you must be crouch for reloading negev.

2:Hydrocution (correct me for the writing, i'm french, sorry)

When you fall too fast in water, you will be hurt or died.

3: "wall, celling damage"

It's simple.

When you go too fast on a wall or a ceiling, you will be hurt or died.

4: Decrease fall damage

I think fall damage is a bit high.

It would be better with :

Max speed without dying : 750

Min speed : 340

5: wall jump decreasing
A new method for limiting wall jumps would be cool.

When you do a walljump, it has 100% power.

when you do a second walljump, it has 80% power

after, this is 60%, 40%, 20% and all next 10%.

6: (can be off-topic, sorry) Bots with waypoints :

We can use Xreal's acebot (improved)

or other mods...

(less bugs pleeeeaaassee)

Just an edit : reset the old hit detection, or set a new more detailled (like : left hand, right hand, neck, left foot, knee, and more)

he just suggested... what.. 5 consecutive walljumps. how is that intelligent?
hydrocution, no one cares about because eagle has like the only super high drop into water
and all the jumping/wall/ceiling damage crap seems like it would ruin jump maps, where sometimes you gain speeds of like 2k and hit walls/ceilings
and im all for decreasing fall damage, or at least the height, certain places on algiers+casa give me damage when they arent really that high up.

and hit detection will probably forever suck, no matter how much people whine about it.

in regards to reloading, i'm almost 100% sure i can reload a clip-based automatic while running, not sprinting, but running. and having to crouch and hold still for 7-8 seconds while reloading the negev would render it useless, 7 seconds is a capture in CTF on some maps.

overall, none of these ideas are going to be implemented, so you and I just wasted our time.

Your suggestions would totally ruin the whole game.

1. Not being able to fire while reloading is already penalty enough in such a fast moving game. Not being able to move much either would screw the balance completely.
2. The least ridiculous suggestion, but adds nothing to the game so why bother.
3. Stupid. Will wreck jumping as a gametype, and needlessly spoil the fun.
4. Fine as it is.
5. What is 100% power? Walljump speed has a lot to do with speed into the walljump, you don't spring off a wall at a fixed speed, so these percentages are a weird idea. Plus why bother? It's so much fun the way it is.

7. hitpoints have been refined over time and for reasons.

It seems to me you don't really appreciate what this game is.

I've never noticed anything wrong with it and i've been playing actively since 4.0 :mrgreen:
Even when i, the target, or both have had a high ping. Awesome anti lag ftw :-)

I accept that this game is intentionally NOT super realistic in a lot of ways... while the fall from the tower in eagle into the water actually doesn't bother Me that much... there are some maps where you can jump off a building into ankle deep water and it keeps you from having any damage. I don't think that changing it would add much to the game.

The only things about reloading that I think are "broken" per se... is the ability to reloading while climbing a ladder... especially things like the negev. Also... that you can get all the way to the point of inserting the clip into a gun and if you switch weapons it starts from the beginning of the animation has always been a little odd... but I don't see that changing... it would be too hard to implement and balance.

Everything else... meh.
