So when I registered with the passport originally, I used my original account name thinking I'd be able to make a different display/nickname to match my current in-game name. Now apparently I can't change my displayname beyond minor adjustments in spaces etc, and there are now nicknames. What are the nicknames for exactly, and if I want to be known as merely Pheonix as opposed to pheonix7117, should I create a whole new account or what?

Don't bother making a new account. You can change your display name to anything, as far as I know. So you could take off the 7117, add underscores, hyphens, etc (if you so desire). The nicknames are names you use in-game, and not on the forums. Since you're in a clan group, the tag will automatically be associated with the nickname, so you don't have to add it when registering a nickname.

yes, your passport username is stuck. you could always create a new account without the 7117, and either PM kr0m, or post a topic in the Merge Accounts section. I'm pretty sure the new account will have to be on a new email, but the admins can also merge two accounts not on the same email, if you had an account from before. Heck, they might be able to merge two new accounts together. So my suggestion would be to PM kr0m (kr0m promotion mode: off ) explaining your situation and asking what would be easiest for the admins to deal with.

If I understand this right my passport name doesn't matter anyway because it's all about nicknames. So I didn't care my upper case letters and the period in my name wasn't taken by the passport registration because I can still assign this when I connect the account to my nick.

But I didn't find where I can associate a nick to my passport profile, any hints?

1.go in "My Passport" left side bar under Forum Settings.
2.press "My Nicknames" on the right side.

The passport Phenoix is yet to be taken as a passport.

If you wish to have your passport login changed to phenoix, im more than happy to do so for you.
