Hi,
There is this one server I join where I get these displayed in my console.
Many of the graphics are drawn as big squares.
Each shot I fire draws a growing square - real weird.
But doesn't happen on other servers, not sure if I've tried enough though to make sure the problem isn't specific to only one server.

Anyway, I've recently done a re-install and am not sure if I screwed up some preference or config bit.

Does anyone know what I can change, or adjust that might fix this problem?

odd...... trash your config and rebuild it if the problem persists.

Trashing the configs (did both the baseq3 & q3ut) didn't fix the video issue.
If this doesn't work there is not much more for me to try other than re-installing right?

There aren't any other preferences that I'm aware of...

make sure you trashed the config from the USERS/name/LIBRARY/APPLICATION SUPPORT/QUAKE3 on top of the one from the Q3UT3 folder.

just for curiositys sake , id like to see a screenie of that video issue.

and whats the addy for that server you have the issue on?

I'm using Gameranger and I can't find the address of the server on it...the name though is:
F*CK work... game today [3.7]

Some more regression on this...
I just updated from a 17" / 1.33 Ghz / 1GB RAM / 10.3.4 PB.
Didn't have this problem there.

I basically copied over all my maps and configs from that PB, and did a new install beforehand.

That PB does not have this problem...

Wonder if 10.3.5 could be the issue, but so far it's only that server, and the maps on that server are OK for me on other servers. Plus no one else on that server is having video problems.

I'm thinking about copying my complete Q3 folder (q3ut3 included) from my old PB and dragging it onto the new one and seeing if the problem goes away.

I suppose you could have had a bad install .. try the copy over.

odd that itis only one server tho ..

Copying the entire quake3 folder ended up making the problem go away.
Must've been some weird conflict with the new install and dragging the older configs/maps over - although that doesn't make sense to me.

I'll post more if I find more...

You would have to host it yourself either using a server or as an ftp link to your machine.
