download file not found - urbanterror 3.7 for linux Rate Topic: -----

i just want to have a shooter or strategy game that i can play online against a friend who uses windows - while i am restricted to linux. trying to download this promising game, i got this message over the whole past week:

how to fix?

The files for URT are all the same for windows/linux/mac. It just with linux you have to patch quake3. If your quake3 runs, the just download the files and put them in a subdirectory of quake3 called q3ut3. As for starting it in linux, I have no clue.

http://ftp.snt.utwen...es/urbanterror/ get the full 3.7 zip there. Then just run quake3, but with the parameter +set fs_game q3ut3

oh, sorry, looks like i misunderstood the whole ting... of course, "urban terror" is no complete game based on quake... :o i don't have quake3 for linux, so oops.... :oops: :lol:

All you need is the quake3 pak files. (they are the same for linux and windows and mac).

Then download PointRelease 1.32 for Linux from http://ftp.snt.utwen...s/quake3/linux/ and install that.

Then you have Quake3 for Linux =]
