hi, I'm using Mitshubishi ioq3 and it works very well. The only problem is that i cannot use r_shownormals 1 to watch the demos.
It's quite important because I'm a server admin...
I cannot use the standard ioUrT because it doesn't work on ubuntu 10.04

any hint?

Ok I'll try to recompile from sources
BTW I never succeed in run UrT client on a virtual machine...

Hi, I tried with my kubuntu 10.04..
No problem at all, both r_shownormals and r_showtris..
Using Mitsubishis ioq3 binary.

I'm on 32-bit tho, are you on 64-bit maybe?

(also my spell checker says showtris is wrong, it should be showgirls lol)

Yes, I'm on 64 bit. I wouldn't like to waste my 6Gb ram

Try the files I just updated, I took the optimizations to 'relatively safe', it might have a different behavior but I would be surprised if it does.
