It's that time of the year again, summer's coming!

This is going to be our third Summer Cup. Last year we had 35 active clans hopefully we can beat that number this year. As usual all of the following game types are allowed : Capture the Flag (CTF), Team Survivor (TS), Bomb mode (bomb), Team Deathmatch (TDM), Capture and Hold (CNH) and Follow the Leader (FTL). Each week will have one game mode that gives 1 point extra, so instead of the regular 5-3-1 point distribution it will be 6-4-2. There is one thing though, both clans have to choose that game type, so make sure you discuss this before playing (we don't want drama). We'll also have weekly maps like we had in the last Winter Cup, and possibly limited gear, something that was a lot of fun in the last Summer Cup. More details will follow regarding rules etc!

You can find more info on proceedings in the news posts we published on the sites (links in my signature). You'll also read that we're moving away from the old KMLeague software and are going to use Kendle's League CMS.

The Summer Cup is going to start the 28th of June.

Unlike in the league, all teams are welcome to sign up and play - European, Asian, or American.
The system is simple - play as many games as you want to and score as much as possible. The team with the highest total score wins. The cup is an opportunity to collect points for your PCWs – even a loss gives you a point. This summer we will be playing all team gametypes again – CTF, TS, BOMB, TDM, FTL, and CAH.

Week 1 – June 28 till July 04 – KICK ASS – All maps allowed in the ctf and ts leagues
Week 2 – July 05 till July 11 – SUPERSIZED – Large maps, custom and standard, variety of gametypes
Week 3 – July 12 till July 18 – INTO THE WILD – Desert and jungle style maps, custom and standard
Week 4 – July 19 till July 25 – FAST AND FURIOUS – Small maps played with limited gear (“g_gear 50” – nades, pistols, spas)
Week 5 – July 26 till August 01 – URBAN TERROR – Maps set in urban areas, mostly standard
Week 6 – August 02 till August 08 – THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS – Mirrored maps, standard and custom
Week 7 – August 09 till August 15 – HOMAGE – Week dedicated to Queenbee and Dragonne’s maps
Week 8 – August 16 till August 22 – SICK AND TIRED – Return to basics with the most played maps in Urban Zone Leagues
Week 9 – August 23 till August 29 – CUSTOM GALORE – Custom maps selected by staff
Week 10 – August 30 till September 05 – TDM MAYHEM – Week dedicated to tdm friendly maps
Week 11 – September 06 till September 12 – BACK TO BASICS – All league maps and prospective custom maps
Week 12 – September 13 till September 19 – YOUR OWN – Custom maps

At the moment we have 45 clans signed up which is quite respectable taking into account that the summer is probably the least active period in urt. I really hope that more clans (especially non-eu clans) sign up, it's going to be a blast :) The signups will be open throughout the whole cup as it's not a league :)
