I like to use the shell for everything I do and how to copy and paste is a pain in urbanterror, i decided to create a script to manage favorite server and connect to news. If someone wants to use it is free to do it.

GFU(Gestión de Favoritos Urbanterror/Management Urbanterror Favorites)

There are a few variables to configure.

#Variables
DIR="/home/UserName/UrbanTerror/"
DIRFAV="/home/UserName/.q3a/"
FAV="urtfav"
PROGRAM="ioUrbanTerror.x86_64"

How to use it:

15:49:10 Julie ~ % > gfu -h
Uso: gfu.sh [options]
	-l List of favorite servers.
	-c [Num] Connect to server Num.
	-o [OPCIONES] Add other options to launch.
	-s [DIR] Connect to a specific server.
	-n [NAME] Change Nick.
	-a [Nombre-> IP:Puerto] Add server to favorites.
	-d [Num] Delete server to favorites.
	-e [FILE] Execute one config file.

Options
-l List of favorite servers you have added.

15:49:58 Julie ~ % > gfu -l
List of servers.
Num 0  CDC-> 95.154.246.144:27962; password feofeo
Num 1  PUB-> 87.98.141.202:27960
Num 2  OTS-> 93.93.65.54:27960
Num 3  MQCD-> 91.121.119.63:27906

-c [NUM] Connect to server Num, where NUM is the number of one server show with option -l

-o [OPCIONES] Add option to launch Urbanterror. Should be quoted

-s [DIR] Connect to a server that is not stored in your favorites. Respect the format and quote it.

15:56:09 Julie ~ % > gfu -s "111.111.111.111:66666; password kaka"

-a [Name-> IP:Port] Add new servers to favorites. Respect the format to add and quote it.

19:07:44 Julie ~ % > gfu -a "LALA-> 111.111.111.111:66666"

-d [Num] Delete server Num.

-n [NAME] Join to server with this nick

15:56:09 Julie ~ % > gfu -s "111.111.111.111:66666" -n NooB

You can connect to server number 2 with nick Noob.

16:03:19 Julie ~ % > gfu -c 2 -n Noob

I added support for connecting to servers through the url, you only must add the handler to browser.
It support url: Gametracker, hlsw, xfire, urtgo, qtracker, GSC

GFU v0.7

And that's all, sorry for my english ;)

^^ What he said or this one.

An user that is in the shell all day, can probably find their way to start a game. It's not like people who is capable and willing to work in a shell would not know how to start a game and pass argument to it.

he has added favorites!

that might be useful for those paranoids that drop the X completely to run iourt from console and bring X only for it which is quite illogical since if that helps you seem to be having bugs on the desktop.

That's true, but it's not using the same favorites stored in servercache.dat. Which might cause confusion to some people, thinking they stored a favorite in-game server browser will suffice.

Even more reason to say that those audience are technical enough. So i'm having a hard time to understand which audience he aims for with this script: non-technical users prefer GUI, technical users either already found GUI apps for purpose like this (XQF or UrTSB) or are proficient enough to deal with cmdlines.
But there are probably a few people out there that might find this useful.
