The game could use more mouse cursor interaction. For example

• By clicking a <hotkey> bringing up a cursor, you could click little icons representing certain shortcuts such as setting a gear or other setup or a cfg.
  
• By pressing TAB you could then click on a player to spectate him
  
• etc.

edit: I will find any World of Warcraft related jokes perfectly appropriate.

Good points, this is something that should be looked at when or if they decide to implement a new UI. More pressing matters at this point. Unless FS has a larger surplus in coders than we know :P

Favoriting gear setup should be done soon :P

there is something like that... still implemented but not used :)
if you want to see an example download the map ut_apartment, get to the elevator, if you press and hold the "open door" button you can see your cursor moving- its a feature form the very early releases of urban terror, you could go to the elevator and pick a floor you want to go. some can remember a desert map where you could go to a certain location using a blackhawk helicopter :)

picking a player to spectate... hell yeah im so tired to click through all players to get that one i think is cheating, and damn if i overclick him and have to get all of them again... so thats a good idea really.

PS. for the gears you can make scripts, its pretty easy, its also quite fast to use the menu.
