Hi,

I had the unfortunate event of loosing my servers HD. I have everything back up, but I cannot find the "Dedicated Server App" needed to launch a dedicated server terminal in Mac OSX.

I have located the "App" on line, but from the older Q3 "1.30" Point Release. Unfortunately, this launches a server in proticol 66? It does this even though the entire folder and all its contents is updated to 1.32 with Punk Buster (for Mac). Perhaps there is some simple fix to this? If not........

Does anyone have this little Mac App for 1.32? Can you post a link here or email it to me? I would greatly appreciate it.

wtf, its on id softs ftp? i really didnt think it might be there. they release files for their games on their site?

I'm in the process of mirroring id's FTP site as the Doom 3 game source has the server pretty hosed. I'll give out the URL once I retrieve the files.

Are you suggesting that the "Dedicated Server App" is within that package? Its not. I had already scoured id's ftp site before posting. I could be missing it somehow though.

well, it is for windows (iirc) and linux

It's currently in the Doom 3 directory, copying over the Windows demo.

I think you need the altivec-test-3.pkg, I been looking for that for ages, that is the one that contained the dedicated server for mac.
You can start a server from the GUI. If you put all the commands in an auto exec that ends with /set dedicated 2 (or summink like that) and includes exec map_rotation.cfg and stuff like that. i messed with that for a while (for a different mod) but every time it would start in dev mode (cheats enabled) until the map rotation had gon round a bit.

So, I just downloaded id's FTP... All 5.6 GB of it. Just building a quick interface for it.

Diotro made a server launcher that was pretty slick. cant find the link though. i do have it on my machine but i dont have anywhere to host it.
