funny characters in chat Rate Topic: -----

4.1.1, win 7 64 hp. When I try to type a question mark in chat or console, I get a funny character. Same deal for a single quote.

Any idea what's up?

Press [CTRL] + [Shift]

That didn't help, however I did track down the problem. I had two additional keyboard definitions installed in addition to US. Canadian Multilingual was one, I forget the other, maybe french. I deleted those (see change keyboards in win 7 hp control panel) and things were back to normal.
