FYI I got annoyed by this bug today so I fixed it. I was searching to see if anyone had fixed it and this post turned up. I don't know who this person is but I wanted to tell them that it should be fixed. It's a generic ioquake3 bug so it should have been posted to their bugzilla instead. I didn't find anything in the ioquake3 bug tracking about it. It has been around since as long as I can remember in quake3.

I didn't try the quotes in the above description but I just tried it now and it works as expected when patched.
