I hope it's OK to dig up a slightly old topic here if it pertains.
I'm going to run my server on my home DSL connection. Yes, it's a crappy dynamic-IP thing but it should still be enough. My Minecraft server works fine so I don't see why this shouldn't...
Anyway, I'm using dyndns as a dynamic ip provider.
Is it correct to think that I could use the command "/connect shovenose.dyndns.org:27960" and it would function properly?
I've got Dyndns Updater functioning properly, meaning that if my IP changes then it will update and the command will still work?
Should I expect a whole bunch of lag? or no?
thanks!
