Hi,
I'm trying to create an object that moves to the side slowly, then goes up fast, then back to the same spot slowly but at the same height then stop. Then if another button is activated it will return to the start position the exact same way it first went.
I have made up a quick diagram of what I mean:

I have had a try and kind of half got their but I am unsure with some of the settings and I understand you need/should use a func_keyboard_interface with the display setting of 0 because it is buggy but still there and working so it affects the train.

Could someone possibly tell me what values I should use and such on how to make this work?
Would be greatly appreciated.

Don't use the keyboard interface.

I don't remember the details, but basically you have one func_ut_train consisting of brushes and models, which is then connected to a path_ut_stop which in turn is connected to yet another path_ut_sto

ok well thanks for your replies but
a- I already know everything there and
b- Ive already read through that a while ago and
c- that link has no relevance to what I want to do.

Your link shows me how to create one in a loop thats continuous. This is not what I want to do and I already know how to do that. What I'm wanting to do must be far more complex.

Please read my post again because I clearly show what I am trying to do.

But! I will tell you what I'm doing.
I am creating an elevator. My diagram is the doors for the elevator that go with it. This is more complex than what most will know I bet and is defiantly NOT a func_door.
So you hop in the elevator and press the button. The doors close slowly (30). Then the elevator starts going up with the doors (220). Then when it stops the elevator doors open slowly again (30) to the same position but a higher altitude (aka my diagram).
This has to be a func_ut_train because they go sideways, then up, then sideways but they then have to be able to go sideways, down, sideways. This would be triggered by using the button inside the elevator or the button at the opposite end to bring the elevator to them. So these doors need to go along the path and then go back along the same path at same speeds.

I was very close to getting this to work but after 2 times using the button the door would go glitchy and appear at something like the 3rd point when its meant to be at the forth or appear at the 2nd when meant to be at the 1st. IDK what that is so maybe if you know how to fix THAT then it would be good.

Also do not send me to this link: http://www.geocities...r_ut_train.html as clearly I already know it.
I will try to make a youtube video to show whats going wrong.

Thanks.

yes thats exactly the problem im having at the moment. I can get it to go up fine and then down fine. But anymore after that it goes real glitchy. Still works but the doors appear to be somewhere else when theyre not. They are still working fine after every time. You can try to run into where the door should be. It is still there but invisible and the part of the door you see is somewhere else. I dont know what is wrong. I have tried SEVERAL different things but at the moment it is looking like a func train can only be activated once if there are more than 2 path_ut_stops involved otherwise the eagle one would have the same problem. I have looked in the eagle map at it and i set it up just like that but with the added stops. Doesnt like being used more than once :(

Anyone else have any ideas?
