When I view certain textures from a distance they close up like blinds and disappear. For instance, in this shot,
The textures for the windows are reduced to thin strips while the wall behind it is clearly visible.
What setting do I need to change in my config to ensure it's drawing everything in distance shots, please?

Its Z-fighting. it happens when you have two surfaces close to each other and the video card carnt decide which is infront and which is behind, because of the range of values the z-buffer can take.
Quick solve :: add polygonOffset to the window shader
Proper solve :: Chop up the wall, so you can caulk behind the windows.
