You only need 1 thing in the next update and that is a working anticheat :k
Auth system already poses a barrier against cheaters - specially if there's a way to stop people making multiple accounts with same set/range of IPs/e-mails.
However, yes, a working anticheat is far more desireable solution, although I'm not sure UrT community is well prepared to face the escalade it will provoke.

Names of the new and updated maps please :)
+1
I'm guessing there's going to be revamps or remakes of some of the maps. I'm hoping those that were planned for HD make it into 4.2 :)

this is great news and finally glad to see a deadline date being set for release. One thing that makes me feel awkward though is the ability to disable the auth system, I can see this creating issues for gamers connecting to servers and getting kicked because they havent auth because the last server worked just fine. also it creates a dilema for admins "To auth or not auth" that is a big question indeed, On one hand no auth means more players will be able to join with less hassle but at the sacrifice of no real way to deter cheaters or asshats. On the other hand, have a nice server where you can deter cheating by prolong a users ban and forcing them to do work if they want to join again, but likely have less players and potentially have to deal with more users that dont understand why they got kicked.
I am currently confused by this, but I guess we'll need to see what happens on Aug 3rd.
Yes, that's bothering me aswell.
I would rather force auth on every player, unless devs plan to have some "newbie-friendly" servers on which people new to the game would test if it's interesting to them enough to register.
