That's what I get when I connect to whatever server... right after loading screen is completed the main menu shows up and I get that error:
sound/feedback/hit.wav has length 0
Does anybody have any idea how to fix this?
Thanks!!

corrupted files?
check the md5 checksums to the files that were downloaded.

I'm going with "it's a bug" personally. I hear the classic old-school "clank" sound instead of the regular hit sound, and hashes check OK:
~/UrbanTerror42> md5sum -c md5sums
q3ut4/autoexec.cfg: OK
q3ut4/QIIIA_Game_Source_License.doc: OK
Quake3-UrT-Ded.i386: OK
Quake3-UrT-Ded.x86_64: OK
Quake3-UrT.exe: OK
Quake3-UrT.i386: OK
Quake3-UrT_Logitech_Game_Recognition.reg: OK
Quake3-UrT.x86_64: OK
q3ut4/readme42.txt: OK
q3ut4/server.cfg: OK
q3ut4/ut4_commune.pk3: OK
q3ut4/zUrT42_0001.pk3: OK
q3ut4/zUrT42_0002.pk3: OK
q3ut4/zUrT42_0003.pk3: OK
q3ut4/zUrT42_0004.pk3: OK
q3ut4/zUrT42_0005.pk3: OK
q3ut4/zUrT42_0006.pk3: OK
q3ut4/zUrT42_0007.pk3: OK
q3ut4/zUrT42_0008.pk3: OK
q3ut4/zUrT42_0009.pk3: OK

Here's my checkfile (I omitted the Mac stuff since it's unpacked in the tarball):

Thanks, checking md5sums did the trick!
Why does the Updater not do that for me? Would be a nice feature ;-)

The software itself should check the checksums and warn on currupted files. Just my 2 cent.
