[SOLVED] Hitsound Rate Topic: -----

I'm using UrT 4.2 64bit on Archlinux and i found this bug: hitsound happens not only when I hit someone, but:
- when someone hits someone else
- when i zoom in or out
- when i change weapon

furthermore 4.2 uses the same .q3a folder than 4.1.1, so settings on q3config.cfg are mixed and it is very difficult to use both versions.

You can set fs_homepath to use a different config dir.

Sounds like you are actually missing some sounds, so the default sound is being played.

zUrT42_0007.pk3 was damaged. Solved

BTW: fs_homepath is write protected.

[EDIT]: Not solved, even after a new download and fresh install: I guess because it is not possible to set a different homepath between 411 and 42, and 411 .q3a folder is "dirty"...
I also have some textures fail on every map...

Having two separate homepath is a must.


Starting UrT4.2 with parameter +set fs_homepath "/home/ale/.q3a42" solves every issue about textures and sounds.
