I downloaded the installer for UrT 4.2, but when I ran it it said "Urban Terror cannot be installed on systems with Windows Installer version lower than 5.0.

How the hell do I update my Windows Installer version?

EDIT: Apparently it's native with win7, is there any way to get it on XP, I haven't found any way so far. In the meantime I'm using the UrT updater and I'll see if that works.

Would appear 4.5 is the latest window installer available for XP SP3. Can any one else confirm this?

Maybe the MSI installer will need to be repackaged to be compatible with and older MSI standard?

I ran UrTupdater.exe and I can play 4.2 now, thanks for any help.

I fixeded it

install the msi manually in command prompt:

msiexec /a PathToMSIFile
