Hey guys, playdeb have handy debs for urban terror but they also have an optomised binary:

My system isn't a power house by any stretch but plays the 'normal' version just fine, however the optomised version struggles at even the menu screen. Is anyone aware of this extra verson and what the differences are

I do not recommend using the "optimized" binary. There have been several security updates since 2010. I believe that version of mitsuibishi's "optimized" client is vulnerable to at least one. It doesn't link to or mention the exact source that it's based on so it's not easy to tell.

In any event, Mitsubishi left the UrT scene and I don't recommend running 2 year old binaries without an upstream to supply fixes.
