Got improvements in fps.
Before average fps 115-120.
Now average fps is 124-127, highest graphical settings exluding r_simpleshaders 0.

Thank you!

edit: Was only on Toxic, overall fps still improved tho.

is the client still supposed to work with .009?
i managed to build on ubuntu 12.04 x86_64 just fine, but on startup it crashes with

Looks like an issue with libopenal-dev and x86_64 to me.

i do not use 64 bit as i am always running into sound issues with it.
i will ask Danny to see whether he can compile it as he uses 12.04 x86_64
Fingers crossed.

Danny says it compiles fine but does not work due to some x86_64 issue however i sent him my 32 bit "ioquake3.i386" and it runs just fine on 64 bit.
So if you want to try my 32 bit version you can get it here, i had to right click and go save as to dl it.

Gotta try that tomorrow (dl doesn't work right now).

Maybe that error msg helps too:

Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"

That's the last msg it says when starting via terminal.

You are using Mint so i don't know what packages you have installed.
Maybe you need to install "mesa-utils"

Try doing

$ "glxinfo | grep direct"

to see whether direct rendering is available, if not this command will tell you what packages to install.
Good luck.
