Knifes Rate Topic: -----

Here is a few ideas I had about the knife.

1. Make throwing knives go in a straight line. They are way too hard to aim with now because they fly farther up than you want and then they drop after flying enough.

2. Make you able to slash 2x faster. Once going up and once going back or just speed up the animation a bit.

3. Make you able to throw faster with less delay.

4. Boost damage done by throwing knifes. They are flying through the air at a super fast rate.
Maybe make them do 50 Kevlar, 75 torso, 30 legs/arms, and 90 helmet.

5. Ability to pick up others knives after they die. Allow up to 15 knives able to carry.

6. Extra ammo gives you extra knives.

7. Allow knife to make people bleed 5x faster than normal and take twice as long to bandage.

8. Maybe make it that if you are knifed in the legs your endurance falls twice as fast as normal.

9. Maybe allow the knife to be visibly sticking out of the person?? Would be awesome.

10. Finally, make the knife able to hit multiple people if they are within the right distance.

The knife is too underpowered as of now and if some of these suggestions could be implemented, maybe it would become more of a useful and deadly weapon! Thanks for reading!

Knife is the last resource weapon. It is not intended to dominate the game. How could have sense a knife doing more damage than a DE?

FS should indeed take a look at this.

2. Make you able to slash 2x faster. Once going up and once going back or just speed up the animation a bit.
Thats called fastknife, and then knifing wouldn't request any skill... fastest clicker wins. Just aim for the right hits :)

3. Make you able to throw faster with less delay.
Useless imo.

Do you think you do more damage when you throw a stick 200m away from someone, or when you hit him real hard with it ?
And would that mean damage proportional to distance ? Too complicated for no exceptional result/difference.

I'm all for #1 and #6. About number five, I think you should be able to pick up somebody's knives if you yourself have less than 5.

Throwing knife is way too underpowered already so faster throwing would help balance it out.

Again since its too underpowered it should have a damage increase. As of now, it's usually easier to just run up to someone and slash at them wildly instead of carefully aiming 3 knives at them.

And about the stick thing, FS motto is fun over realism. So if something doesn't make 100% sense, it's ok
And damage wouldn't be Proportional to distance. That's just wrong.

If a kevlar vest can stop a bullet traveling faster than the speed of sound, you honestly think a knife is going to penetrate it once thrown by hand? and even if that was possible I doubt it would be justified by losing 50% of your health. Perhaps 1% equivalent to a paper-cut or a scratch..
