What should I do if my authentification key is not valid ? should i get a new one until it work ? like with a cd-key generator ?

If you followed the instructions in the email correctly, you should be fine.

SAME PROBLEM HERE!

and i must tell you that your system is terrible.

No copy paste (on osx) and a so long key that you have no chance to write it right the first time.

wtf for a free game?

now im blocked and can't enter any new key. and the message only contain:

key not valid... blablabla

help at:http// (nothing!!)

first time SORRY for my bad englich (i'm frenche) !! :)
if some one can correct(an admin), it was cool !!!

to correcte a bad auth key :
-go to the directory of urt and folder q3ut4 (default is : C:\UrbanTerror42\q3ut4)
-find the file "authkey" and edit them with a simple texte editor
-and then copy/poste the correctly key at the place of the wrong key
-save the file relauch URT ... ave fun !
it works on windows7

Unfortunately i have to confirm elrik440's method, it is working now. This is not a way how authentication process should look like.

Im on macintosh and i dont have the file you mentioned. on ut the login is grey and impossible to enter...

je suis sur mac et le fichier ne peut pas être trouvé. Dans urban terror le login est grisé et je ne peux plus rien faire, dois-je réinstaller?

First i simply type my auth key in the login screen then click apply but it doesn't work.[I said that it doesn't work(logged in) because the Log-in words not changed to Log-out] So I go to q3ut4 and past the key. After that when I launch UrT it says your game is out of date[Only came after i modified the file]. Still not logged in.
(I'm using windows 7)

je peut difficielement t'aider je n'ai pas de mac ! néanmoin je pense que la structure de fichier du jeux doit être analogue (pas sure...) ! regarde dans les propriétés du racourci de urban terror sur ton desktop et tu devrais trouver l'emplacement des fichiers indiqués (la cible du racourci) !
sinon une désintalation complète puis une réinstalation peut aussi marcher !

i don't know this probleme !
-verify your auth key on your account in the official site of URT
-verify if you ave the most recent version of URT
-if all ok try to ave a new auth key or reinstall completly URT

Thank you friend.
I think its some update problem. My updater is not working. I downloaded UrT 4.2 from the torrent. And still i cant update. When I click update it stuck in the middle and when i click it second time it says version is up-to-date. I don't believe that its updated. :( I will re-download it after a considerable players move to 4.2. :)
