Hi,
i installed urban terror in q3ut3 from 3.1 to 3.2 to 3.3 to 3.4
and it didnt work because it said my version wasnt updated or enabled (it was 3.3 beta) and i wanted 3.4. I installed the .exe 3.4 full install and it still doesnt work saying i need to enable or update the version but it says in my urban terror that its 3.4 beta.

pb_cl_enable does the trick.
I have always been irritated by that error message PB gives when you havent got it enabled. It looks like you need an update to your game, instead of just needing to enable PB...

Like Aarsbuds0r said, it's /pb_cl_enable
and no need to worry about /pb_sv_enable, that's a server side setting.

So you have never used a manual? Section 2 or 3 should resolve your problems.

I'm afraid I have the same problem. Only that when I use the cl_punkbuster 1 on the console, it tells me that punkbuster is a read only. It also says at the startup part of the console that they have been disabled.
What do I do in this situation? I have updated, I thought, to the recent quake 3 patch as well. But I cant seem to find any sort of patch that punkbuster claims that I need when I enter a punkbuster game.

maybe you used the b0rk3d installer? over the old files? if nothing works,
delete ur q3ut3 folder, after saving your config ofcourse, then reinstall everything, either with the soon to be released new offi installer, or by installing all the individual .pk3 files, then it should work. Cuz normally your cfg should remember you enabled pb
. If still not, then like the others said, pb_cl_enable and you're good to go, if not, ur fuc]{ed.
