Hi guys,

Have loved playing UrT the last few years but now I've hit the wall trying to update to 4.2. I'm in China and I can't get the full install (1.5 GB) to download. I'd really love to get the install file on a local, Chinese server for us in Asia. You guys in N. America are blessed. :)

I did DL and install the UrTUpdater and it took many tries but I got it to DL and install all the PK3's and DLL's, etc. I guess it doesn't install an EXE file??

Am I correct in saying that I can't use any files from 4.1? Can I use the old quake folder? I'm guessing if I can't download the full install, there's no way I can frankenstein a working game out of 4.1 and the new 4.2 files I've got. Zat right?

4.2 is a stand alone game, it is not upgradable from 4.1

If you're having issues with a clean install from the updater, you could always try downloading the FULL zip which is around 1.5 GB, from http://www.urbanterror.info/downloads/

Thanks, but as I said in my post, I can't get the download to work. I've tried many times with flashGet and with just my browser. I think I'm up a creek without a paddle. My brother in law tried to Skype the file to me but it didn't work. Might try him putting it in dropbox and then I try DL'ing it from there. Any other suggestions?
