i got a damn problem with compiling maps.
It all worked well and then (some day) it didnt.
Since then i cant compile and play any map. (not even a downloaded firstroom)
i can compile them with the q3map2 that comes with the gtkradiant 1.5 but when i try to load the map i always get:
CM_LOAD wrong version number (0 should be 46)
To bad that the version number actually is 46 (ox2e @ offset 4 in the bsp file)
i think that there is a problem with the BSP file though (for my large map, didnt check the firstrooms bsp), because its only about 70-100 numbers from the header to the textures lump, which implies that the entities lump is only that long (cant be, my map has 420 ents.....)
i do compile with the default menu options from the gtkradiant 1.5 built menu that come with the urtmappingpackage2.0.exe
if i place the map into a folder "maps" in the q3ut4 dir and try to load it i get:
RE_LoadWorldMap: cant find "maps/test.bsp", but before it start loading
Here is what i tired (and what obviously didnt work....)
- Reinstalling radiant and the mapping instalation of UrT
- compiling a downloaded .map file
- Compiling on another PC (remote desktop from some virtual machine, with a new installation of both radiant and urt)
- compiling with a new download of q3map2
now the really interestion part comes up. i get TOTALLY different compile logs with the q3map2 that comes with radiant and the one that i downloaded additionally.
Would be great if someone could help me
// edit Iye:
//so here is my log and the (easy)map file
//q3map2 from GTK radiant 1.5 log:
Spoiler
//map file
test.pk3 (contains every file)
