Crash at linux mint 14 Rate Topic: -----

crash on join or start a server

Dear all,

I play urban terror 4.20009 with win7 laptop without problem but in linux mint maybe i made something wrong.

The game start, when i want to join an online game or start a server it crash, so i have to change to a console a kill the process.

Any idea of what is happen???

I'm not sure, but I think the "Killed" at the end of the log is not a message logged by UrbanTerror/ioquake3.
It seems like your operating system (mint) killed the process.
This will happen, for example, if your RAM is too low.

I know this problem from some Java applications on my debian server which get also killed because of this.

A solution could be to increase your swapfile.

P.S. Sry for my bad english... please feel free to correct me or I will never learn it....

EDIT: Try to run this command after UrT crashed:

(sudo) dmesg


If it was killed because of memory problems, it would be logged there.
