I need to edit the shader for one of the textures I've used, but it's from a custom map and I don't know which. Is there a way to find the file path of a texture or shader, or what map it's from, or something that I can use to determine what .pk3 file it is within?

Maybe your best bet is to contact the level designer for that map.

I don't know what map it's from, that's the whole problem. I have hundreds of custom maps downloaded and it could be from any of them. I need some way to determine which one it is.

Isn't there the name of the map inside the .shader? Have you checked?

You've misunderstood me. The .shader is what I'm trying to find.

Ah yes. :P

So what do you know? The name of the texture only?

Searching for the texture name only finds the texture itself, meaning that the name of the shader must be irrelevant to the texture name.

Regardless, I managed to find the shader from just pure luck. I randomly opened up a few shaders and just happened to choose the one that my texture was in! Haha :P

Thanks guys.
