Yes, 4.1 server browser shows all 4.2 servers (but not vice versa).

I think its something the devs have to fix with the master server perhaps.

is there a confirmation of this being dev side (and fixed in 4.2.011), or is it just my fail config?

from what I understand is that when your request a list of server from the master server it is only meant to show you servers relating to your client version, so if a 4.1 client requests a list it should only see servers running version 4.1 and same for 4.2. This allows one master server to run multiple versions of the game and keep them independent. I am not sure why this bug is happening but I am fairly certain it is something that the devs will be required to sort out.

I cannot confirm anything as I am in the same boat as you, but its not a config problem that I am confident about. :)
